My husband was having trouble just existing in every day life, and Iyer just had one medicine that he recommended. When... the medicine was causing lots of horrible side effects, Iyer said that was really the only medicine that would help. I had to actually suggest that perhaps the symptoms were being caused by too MUCH Serotonin, and that maybe Serotonin wasn't the neurotransmitter that my husband was lacking. Finally, he suggested a different medicine although unwillingly. He did not treat my husband as though he had a biological problem, he treated him as though he was choosing to be depressed. Turns out he had a brain tumor (which we found out later, completely separate from any treatment or suggestion of Iyer). I would NOT recommend this doctor. I'm surprised he can still practice, to be honest. I find it interesting that his practice is in The Wdls, yet his hospital affiliation is Cy-Fair (did his reputation necessitate this?) more details
