I was treated like meat. This doctor was called in after 5 1/2 hours of pushing with my midwife, and tapped her pen on ...the clipboard and rolled her eyes when I made her stop talking during a contraction. When I reached out for support with my eyes closed, my partner reports she shrunk away from my hand "like it was diseased." Moreover, the sutures left me with permanent disfiguring asymmetry on my lower abdomen. This doctor was rude when she rounded on me postpartum, as well, refusing to discuss my options and taking a strong-arm approach to get me to accept medication I did not want in order to be allowed to go home with my baby. more details
