Dr. Gausas has no ethics. I waited four months from her to come back from a sabatical to perform an upper bleph on me. B...ecause she was the head of Schie Eye Institute, Ocular Plastic Surgery Department, I specified to the Associate Professor, I wanted to wait until she came back from her sabattical. She KNEW I only wanted her to do my eyes. INSTEAD, she sutured my left eye and had a Follow (student doctor) suture my right eye. As a result, two different shaped eyes. Too much skin on left eye, to little skin on right eye. It cost me $5,000 out-of-pocket, to go to a facial plastic surgeon, aftr she maimed me to not look like a complete freak. Don't have Dr. Gausas work on your eyelids, unless you want to be a guinea pig for her and her inexperienced Fellow. more details

Completely changed the shape of my almond eyes during an upper bleph so that my left eye was left with a round hood and ...my right eye a slanty slit. On the follow-up visit a week after the surgery, I told her how I felt she had maimed me. Her response was, "If you don't like how you look, you can see another doctor". I had to pay a plastic surgeon $5,000 to try and get my eyes the same size again, which he couldn't because Dr. Gausas took too much skin off the right eye, and left too much skin on the left eye. A terrible doctor. more details

Dr. Gausas performed a bad upper bleph on me. She raised my left eyelid up to look like a hood. She had a Fellow Dr., w...hom she was mentoring suture my right eye to a slit. She did two unsuccessful revisions. Went to Dr. Stefanicyn at Wills Eye Hospital, and she said it could only be fixed 50 percent, which she did. Went to a facial plastic surgeon, and he performed an upper right eye brow lift in an attempt to open up my right eye. It cost me $5,000. I am depressed every day when I look in the mirror and see my two different shaped eyes. more details
