While visiting Texas from California in June of 2019, I couldn't hardly breathe when I woke up. Was taken by ambulance to MH The Woodlands in early morning. After diagnosis of severe community-acquired pneumonia, was admitted to hospital, West Tower. Spent a full week being treated and recovering. Facility and care was excellent. One of the best hospitals I've ever seen and spent time in as a patient. Visited daily by pulmonary doctors who kept me and husband informed of progress. Nursing staff very competent and communicative. Calls for assistance always answered within seconds, and assistance received within minutes. The food was above average in quality, and the hospital cafeteria was rated as four-star by my husband. At release we were given an organized packet of information, including Transfer Of Care documentation ready to give to our family doctor, which described everything that had happened while in the hospital as well as instructions for follow-up care and a script for necessary additional medication. If you must go to a hospital in this area, I recommend Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. |
