I am an ECT patient of Dr. Bushnell. My first series of ECT was 20 treatments. I think the average is around 6-8 treatm...ents. Well, my family and I put our whole hearted trust in Dr. Bushnell and his team of Psychiatrists, Anesthesiologists, Nurses and support staff. I am extremely happy to say that I am here, I am living, and I am mentally content. Something I had forgotten all about in my life because it was just never there. My brain is now receiving the treatment it so desperately needs; treatment I waited 16 years to discover was available for my severe depression. I love doctor Bushnell. He is a gentle, kind and honest man who truly and genuinely cares for each of his patients.
Dr. Bushnell saved my life with his ECT treatments, and if this is the therapy I must accept as part of my life, for the rest of my life... then I will gladly sacrifice those moments in order to continue with ECT and be able to live in a content state of mind.
Dr. Bushnell is also extremely intelligent when it comes to medications. He has prescribed a mix for me that I feel will continue to work alongside maintenance ECT for the rest of my life. I feel so normal and so good that I can't imagine going back to that deep, dark cave of depression, that was my life previous to seeing Dr. Bushnell. more details

I have seen Dr. Bushnell for many years for treatment-resistand depression. I have been getting ECT on a maintenance ba...sis for well over a decade and will continue for the forseeable future. Dr. Bushnell is a true leader in the field of psychiatry and pharmacology. He and my local psychiatrist coordinate well in my treatment. Dr. Bushnell is a very likeable person, and I look forward to my appointments with him. more details
