Make sure to really do your research so you know what questions to ask as he will not volunteer information. Also, get ...everything in writing because things that were agreed upon during consultation were ultimately changed during the surgery itself. I found him to be quite arrogant when questioned and my concerns were discounted. As far as the fat grafting itself- I was never told that a different surgeon would actually be doing the lipo. He changed the incision site he would be using 15 minutes before my surgery and ended up putting incisions in my armpits. These incisions are very visible and have caused lymphedema in one arm which is incurable. He used different lipo sites than were discussed during consult. And no one from his office discussed post op care with me at all.
His office staff is no better. The months prior to surgery were so stressful due to miscommunication by his assistant, overcharges by his billing office and incorrect insurance information.
He used to be the only game in town but there are a lot of surgeons now doing fat grafting. If I had it to do over again I would not go to Dr. Khouri or the Miami Breast Center. more details

At every stage of care the doctor was surprisingly unprofessional - lack of truthful & complete information, beautiful f...at transfer to breast, but ravaged lipo sites, post surgical complications (multiple) went unaddressed, office visit shockingly unprofessional. And it actually gets much worse from there. All I can say is pay attention to the red flags in your interaction with him before you decide on surgery - they are accurate indicators. He is charming and I like him personally, but I don't want anyone else to go unwarned. I'm not sure how he has such good outcomes on his site. i think they may not show for example the poor lipo (fat harvest areas) outcomes. That outcome for me was shocking and careless coming from such a charming guy who is lauded for his fat transfer teaching. I have been recommended for corrective surgery in both the breast & thighs now. more details
