Do not wast your time with this Doctor... Take time to search for a good one!!!

I would not recommend Dr Peter Park to anyone.... I met with him at his office based on my doctors recommendation. Dr P...ark briefly talked to me, asked maybe three questions, and said the only way he could diagnose my condition ( minor anal bleeding ) was to perform a colonoscopy. He then led me to his secretary to schedule an appointment ... When they told me my insurance should take care of everything, I kinda felt more like a dollar sign than a patient. I followed the flush procedure and went to my appointment on time; before my appointment I researched colonoscopies and found some areas of concern, I brought these questions up before my procedure... Dr. Park was not receptive to my questions and said it was silly to bring these issues up at this time and didn't think I wanted the procedure. I explained I just went thru 2 days of not eating, drinking nasty fluids to flush out my system and am now sitting on a gurney with nothing on but a robe.... No I don't want it but according to you I need it!?! He then went on to say I was asking too many questions, he didn't think I was comfortable, and didn't want to perform the procedure on me ... that sometimes Dr's and patients don't gel... What's that!!!! I mean, I can't understand that!!! I guess it would be too much to listen to my concerns and address them to make me feel more at ease...is anyone ever comfortable? It seemed like because I was concerned about infection, tears in my intestin and my over all health I was causing him to waste too much valuable time. As far as that not being the time to discuss concerns, when would have been...I met with him Monday, he said I needed it and I went in to have on Wed..when would have been the time?I feel like specialists never want to be asked questions and it is a crying shame that for the most part people do not ask enough. I'm not a doctor but I do work with the public all the time and would definately not have a job if I told my customers they were asking silly questions. I guess you have to have a Phd to get away with that.... That's it, my experience at Harford Gastroenterology , the staff was nice, the manager said she would make Dr Pete do the procedure but who wants that.. I was afraid to have him poking around then!!! they said they would have another doctor do it, but at that point I was disgusted ...
