My husband saw Dr. Stasney at Ft. Sanders emergency room. My husband had suffered a mild stroke and was experiencing sl...urred speech and difficulty in walking. Dr. Stasney was nice enough, but told us in so many words that my husband would likely not get much better than he was at that point -- devastating, frightening and so WRONG! We would not want a doctor to be dishonest with us, but to give us the worst-case scenario (especially without ct scan or mri results to back that up) is a terrible thing to do to people who are already upset about what is happening. By the way: within a few days from being discharged from Ft. Sanders, my (preacher) husband performed a wedding ceremony and went back to his preaching and teaching duties. Thankfully, Dr. Stasney was so wrong! more details
