DO NOT let this man operate on you. He is a butcher in my opinion. Take it from someone who had trusted Ballew and am ...almost crippled as a result of his arrogance and monetary greed. After a consult we agreed on bunion surgery. When I recovered from anesthesia I was told "I needed to do a total joint replacement". That is not what I agreed to but after getting a copy of my surgery records he cleverly entered on the pre-surgery form that I signed a deceptive operating procedure - Youngswick procedure vs Total Joint Implant. I thought it was the first procedure verses (vs) the second. He also altered his office records of my visit to match his operating notes. He never discussed literally cutting off my big toe and replacing with a metal joint as an option. I think I would have remembered this. I have consulted with five Orthopedic Surgeons since this mauling showing them pre-surgery x-rays and was informed by all five that this joint implant was told it was "unnecessary, a gross malpractice procedure, not usually performed on someone your age, I would be sued if I had done that".
