Dr. Erik A Maus, MD

Dr. Maus is a great physician. The only problem is that he is in a horrible clinic. Memorial Hermann’s management cl...early feels that quantity is more important than quality and they time and time again block Dr. Maus from going beyond basic care. Memorial Hermann was once considered the leader in wound care and hyperbarics but they lost that distinction many years ago. Not only do you have to wait close to an hour to be seen but you have to pay for parking. In addition, the “healing rate” is abysmal. Until Dr. Maus can get out of Memorial Hermann (like Dr. Fife did) and open his own practice, everyone needs to avoid Memorial Hermann . more details

Dr. Maus alone is an absolute great physician. The biggest issue is the clinic that he works in. The current managemen...t of the wound center has made it perfectly clear that quantity is more important than quality. Scheduling is a complete nightmare that includes an average wait time exceeding 45 minutes. This clinic was once the premium wound center in Texas, however, they lost that distinction a long time ago. Other wound care facilities have far surpassed them in regard to “healing rates.” My only wish would be that Dr. Maus would leave Memorial Hermann and open his only private practice. more details
