University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center

Founded in 1952 and beginning formal operations in 1959, University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center in Chardon, Ohio, is a full-service, nonprofit, acute-care facility providing comprehensive health care services to residents in Geauga, Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake, Portage and Trumbull counties in Northeast Ohio. UH Geauga Medical Center's 300 physicians provide expert care in more than 42 clinical specialties. The hospital, which joined the UH system in 1995, is supported by more than 700 dedicated staff members involved in clinical, business, administrative and service functions. Special services at UH Geauga Medical Center include the Orthopaedic Center, Spine & Pain Management Center, UH Harrington-McLaughlin Heart & Vascular Institute (including cardiac catheterization and rehabilitation), UH Neurological Institute (with regional Headache and Facial Pain Clinic), UH Ireland Cancer Center, Enhanced Digital Imaging, the Center for Bariatrics and Minimally Invasive Surgery and Center for Women's Health. UH Geauga Medical Center recently expanded its Emergency Department to include Rainbow Kids' Care – providing around-the-clock, convenient pediatric medical attention from board-certified physicians and nurses in a kid-and family-friendly environment. UH Geauga Medical Center includes an adjacent medical office building housing physician offices and other services.
