Founded by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, Nazareth Hospital has provided health care to the Northeast Philadelphia community since 1940. The Hospital has 205 acute and 28 skilled care beds, and provides comprehensive health care services, including its award-winning, nationally certified stroke care program, nationally recognized orthopedic surgical and rehabilitation, emergency services, cardiovascular care, and cancer care. Nazareth Hospital is a member of Mercy Health System, the largest Catholic healthcare system serving the Delaware Valley and Catholic Health East, a multi-institutional, Catholic health system co-sponsored by 13 religious congregations and Hope Ministries.
