 Description:

Since our hospital opened in 1985, we have committed ourselves to providing the highest quality of patient care. We work hard every day to contribute to the health of our patients and to the well-being of our community. As a 100-bed acute care hospital, offering a wide variety of healthcare services, we strive to create a culture that fosters compassion and kindness. With the patient as our primary focus, we have been recognized for our efforts in the prevention and treatment of illnesses including heart disease, general surgery, emergency care, urology and orthopedics. Working with a team of dedicated community physicians, we are able to achieve our vision of being the healthcare provider of choice in the community we serve. We recognize that our Emergency Room is often the first way patients access our hospital. From our ER renovation and expansion (completed in 2007), to our continuous evaluation of wait times and treatment efficiency, we have achieved stellar patient satisfaction scores. We're proud of these scores as they reflect our continued commitment to you.Because we know how important it is to be seen quickly in the Emergency Room, you can now view our ER wait times on our hospital's website. The Emergency Room at Englewood Community Hospital treats both pediatric and adult patients and is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. __________________________________________________ ADVANCED TECHNOLOGYEnglewood Community Hospital is now offering potential emergency room patients how long the wait is before they make the trip. Patients can text 23000 with the word ER in the text body to find out the wait time from their cell phone. Electronic Health Record (EHR) – With EHR, access to patient health information is simplified and patient safety and quality improved. Our hospitals have brought numerous clinical components for the EHR on-line through major investments in technology. Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) –The PACS system immediately digitizes images such as X-rays, and other scans including CT, MRI and PET, so they can be stored and electronically viewed on screens anywhere. This enables doctors and other health care professionals to access the images, even remotely, and to compare new images with previous images at the touch of a button. Electronic Medication Bar Coding System (eMAR) – We led a national effort to reduce medication errors by placing this system in all of our hospitals. Bar codes on medications are scanned at the patient's bedside, providing our clinical staff with an effective tool to ensure that the right patient receives the right medication at the right time through the right route. __________________________________________________ Accreditations and CertificationsACCREDITED HOSPITAL (JOINT COMMISSION) ACCREDITED CHEST PAIN CENTER WITH PCI (SCPC)

Called me back again asking me the same question. Then the next call I get a lil' while later they are telling me a bunch of things are wrong she...

Then they had me transported to their psychiatric hospital in Corpus Christi where I was told that my family put me in there and if I didn't take the med's I was never getting out. For three days I was disregar...
