Founded in 1861, St. Elizabeth Healthcare is one of the oldest, largest and most respected medical providers in the Greater Cincinnati region. The merger created a system with vast resources to serve the Greater Cincinnati area, including 1,187 licensed beds, more than 7,300 employees, including associates from St. Elizabeth Physicians, over 1,200 physicians with privileges (which includes over 150 affiliated primary care physicians), 1,100 volunteers, 50 primary care and specialty office locations and 3 free standing imaging centers. The health system is sponsored by the Diocese of Covington. In 2009, the system provided more than $100 million towards Community Benefit Programs and Uncompensated Care.St. Elizabeth Healthcare is sponsored by the Diocese of Covington, and every day we work to fulfill our healing mission by providing for those who cannot pay for care. In 2009, the system provided more than $63 million towards Community Benefit Programs and more than $37 million in additional Uncompensated Care.
