Dr. Samuel Charvit, MD

I was admitted to bethesda west. I have an ileostomy, my colon was removed in 2011. D. Charvit neglected to check valpro...ic acid levels, did not address my blood sugar level that had spiked to over 451 and then 538 at one point. Met with me for 2 minutes in the morning prior to this occurring. Refused to call back the nurses all night concerned with the rectal bleeding and swollen stoma. The next day he refused to speak with myself or my wife. When he did come out of his little nook, he yelled at my wife and myself. We left AMA. Later on when a GI doctor requested I be re admitted to be seen the next morning Charvit refused without reviewing anything. Luckily I went to wellington regional who discovered that my medications were not being properly handled and that charvit did not do a thorough job. If I had not checked out, I may be in a diabetic coma or still going through rolling siezures which charvit never even looked into. He refused to speak with my family or myself. In my opinion He is a meglomaniac that feels he knows a patients past better than the patient or the patients family. Be very wary of this man. We are lodging a complaint to protect the public from this menace. more details
