Dr. Kevin H Spicer, MD

Spicer advertised as a private physician who didn't accept private insurance or file insurance claims. He made his own a...ppointments also. Never disclosed that he is a professor of medicine at MUSC. Paid out of pocket for years to this guy...although insurance companies would have covered services through MUSC. Private wed site didn't advertise him as affiliated with MUSC until I complained about it to an attorney... who in my opinion/experience shared with Spicer that I complained...because, Spicer amended his web page to include "affiliated with MUSC"... not a coincidence... Hi Kevin...now I understand why the physician in the ER @ MUSC said "I know Kevin, are you a doctor?". That was when you instructed me to take my child to the ER due to aggressive behavior that YOU know originated at school.... So dirty of you. Hope you're sleeping at night. By the way... she has been unofficially out of school since February 20, 2018 because of what I consider ABUSE...any advice Kevin? more details

I can honestly say that Dr Spicer saved my life during a very dark time in my life. He provided a safe environment wher ...I could be open and honest with him and myself.

He is uber reliable. He has never canceled or rescheduled an appointment. He starts and stops sessions perfectly according to schedule. He returns calls promptly, both during office hours and those left on his pager in emergency situations.

Dr Spicer is always polite and respectful, even when it seems most doctors would show frustrations dealing with emotional patients. I have worked with other psychiatrists and therapists. None have been as effective and as through as Dr. Spicer. He goes way beyond treating worried well. more details
