I have been Dr. Redmonds patient for PCOS for many years. I've been on a regime of medications for several years and I s...ee him every 6 to 12 months. I never get charged $700 maybe that is just the initial appointment. Hate to break it to people, but in NYC $700 for an initial appointment is pretty standard for an Ivy league-educated specialist and if you have out of network benefits you can get some of it reimbursed. He always spends time with me, has run some pretty extensive hormone blood tests that no other doctor has and his staff answers my emails quickly. It's also nice to be able to see a doctor on saturday since I drive in from NJ. Again, I'm really surprised by these reviews, I've had good experiences with Dr. Redmond. more details

I live north of Boston so I took the train to NY. 10 min cab from Penn Station. Very easy. The office was clean and orde...rly, the staff was nice. Dr. Redmond was nice and very knowledgeable about hormones and hair. Even though I was on the right tract by myself and had mentally prepared myself to hear bad news I didn't want, I'm very glad I saw him. He seemed to think it would be treated but only time will tell. I am happy with my experience. I don't mind that he does not take insurance. I'm sure its probably more about privacy and giving money to insurance companies than anything else. He is a specialist in NY and I do not think his rates are excessive. I'm not sure why there are horrible reviews. Maybe they received news that they didn't want to hear and are feeling bitter. I feel for them more details
