The first thing that threw me off was the dog in patient exam rooms. Dont get me wrong, I love my dog as much as the nex...t guy but does he belong in such a "sanitary" environment as a doctor or nurse practioners office? On one occasion I asked her to fill out paperwork and she was unwilling to do so. When I demanded to know why (afterall, she was my primary care nurse for well over a year) her receptionist Sherri became arguementative and confrontational. The only reason she gave me was that I needed to come in for another $65 office visit. I then asked if she would at least write something on her letterhead stating she wasnt willing to fill it out. Her response was again, "No". I then told her that I wanted all of my medical records released to me and I was going to find a different practioner. Her response was to place jn my medical records a nasty letter, "discharging" me from her office. It was a good ol fashioned "You cant fire me! I quit". I found this unprofessional as hell. Another thing that really bothered me was her unwillingness to refill long standing prescription without another $65-85 visit (depending in her mood). They rarely return calls, even in emergencies. She also prescribes medicine without fully understanding the interactions those meds may have with others she has prescribed you. She prescribes psychiatric medications without even having an understanding of the disorder she is prescribing the medication for. During an hour long visit she will talk for 45 of those minutes about herself, camping, her kids, her husband and eveything BUT what you are being seen for. She is in the health industry for the money and has no compassion for people whatsoever. She likes to hear herself talk, is unprofessional, unsanitary, uncooperative and rude. The receptionist is also very rude and acts as if you are annoying her with your problems or necessaties. Avoid this crooked FNP and her receptionist at all costs. more details
