Profoundly helpful, intuitive and kind! My husband and I have started seeing Mr McCoy for marriage counseling and I’m ...very happy to have found him. Whereas some therapists will talk with you endlessly about your ideas, more than any other therapist I have known Mr McCoy gets into the structural issues right away. I like his sense of humor and his insight. He seems deeply caring but doesn’t placate but works to actually help you with what seem to be Cognitive Behavioral strategies. He seems to have studied many approaches. Among other things he’s worked a long time with young people as director of counseling at a university. His basic approach is to have us talk to each other while he observes. Pretty soon he jumps in to ask direct questions or redirect us. He seems a man of profound insight into the human condition and is helping us a lot already.
His office is modest and parking is a little tight but the services are amazing and that’s what we’re there for. more details
