Dr. Davidd B Levy, MD

Saw Dr. Levy on 4/29/21. My Medicare doesn’t begin until 7/1/21, so I made the appt w/ being a self pay patient. Tod...ay’s appt was simply to get a referral for in-home assisted care. I am blind and need daily assistance. Dr. Levy refused to see me because I also have Medicaid. He stated that he isn’t Medicaid approved and can’t accept cash from a Medicaid patient. That’s fine... I understand. I asked if as an accommodation if he could see me for 10 minutes and elect not to bill me for today’s visit. This would help me and prevent him from having to charge a Medicaid patient. I told him that after today’s visit we could resume a Medicare based patient/doctor relationship in July. Dr.Levy could’ve helped me out but instead said that, “He has bills to pay.” He couldn’t spare 10 mins of his time to assist a blind patient w/ a paperwork matter. This delay will impact my needed in home care. Incredible! This doctor seems more interested in the money side of medicine. Beware. more details
