On Tuesday, October 4th 2017 I was told to go to the ER by my transplant team. My fistula has developed an aneurysm. He ...was paged by my Nephrologist asking him to see me at St Joseph's Hospital in Joliet on October 5th. I waited all day and he never bothered to show up or even call the hospital! When he finally showed up on October 6th, he said no one had paged him. When he realized he had been caught in a lie, he had no explanation. Without examining my arm, he said there was nothing he was willing to do. Then tried to make it sound like I wanted an unnecessary surgery! Then he glanced at my arm and said, "It's getting better, right?" I told him that it was NOT getting better; it was getting worse. He asked what I wanted him to do. I told him that I wanted it fixed and the pain to go away. He then proceeded to poke at the aneurysm as hard as he could until I was in tears and informed me that :The oain isn't factored in to it". Really? A Dr. that doesn't care about a patients pain level but is willing to poke at it until the patient is in tears? Then infer that it doesn't matter if the patient is in pain?! What a lovely, caring dr! more details
