Never to patronize Dr. Chatman at Dulles Urgent Care again! While I did like another physician there (Watasuki), when I ...called at a later time to ask an important medical folo up question, I simply asked if my doctor was there -- and the person who answered began the conversation as if aggravated -- and just said "NO!" In a series of questions where I politely asked whether Dr. Watasuki was expected in sometime that day, the person on the phone wouldn't answer and kept getting nastier demanding "What do you want?" and then "What's your name?" When I started to say I'd be happy to give my name but I first wanted to know whether Dr. Watasuki would be in (my medical issue is personal), the person sputtered in the phone, started yelling at me and hung up. I know this sounds crazy, and I think it does, too, but I'm only describing what happened. I called back and asked the person who answered to speak to a manager. The person started giving me a similar nastiness and said "the reason she hung up on you is you gave her ATTITUDE when she asked your name, that's why she hung up on you, you gave her ATTITUDE!!" And I was dumbfounded and said I wanted the name of the young lady who hung up on me so I could report her to the manager and here's the kicker: THE PERSON WHO HUNG UP ON ME WAS DR. ANITA CHATMAN the owner! When the young lady told me it was the Dr. Chatman "the owner and CEO," as she put it, who hung up on me, I said "I'm sorry but I don't believe a doctor would act like that..." The girl kept arguing with me (even though she hadn't heard the phone call in question) and said "you gave her ATTITUDE that's why Dr. Chatman hung up on you!" Then before I knew it, it sounded like someone grabbed the phone from the young lady and the new voice said, "THIS IS DR> ANITA CHATMAN, I'm the ONE WHO HUNG UP ON YOU BECAUSE YOU GAVE ME ATTITUDE WHEN I ASKED YOUR NAME." I was so taken aback. I'm thinking well, I guess it really was the doctor who acted crazy like this! And she was already yelling again. So I said "Stop talking to me that way!" and she kept yelling over me and just said "I'm gonna hang up on you AGAIN!!!" (click) and darned if she didn't! I could not get my medical question answered, I couldn't find out how to reach my Dr., Watasuki and it resulted in a medical issue. All I can say is would you want that doctor treating YOU? I sure don't! it scared me and I will never patronize that place again! more details
