New to the area and do not have a PCP yet. My wife is a patient of Dr. Chopra. I am having a non-emergency rectal issu...e and wanted to see a doctor after going to Urgent Care. Urgent care did not send me to the hospital. Said I had a fungal infection and gave a cream. Told me to see my doctor if it did not get better, I might need oral meds. I called the office since I have not established a Dr in the area. They told me to go to the hospital. I pushed back since Urgent Care did not think that was needed. They insisted! I explained I have normal movements, not bleeding, and the anus looks normal. I asked if I could make a new patient appointment, so I could send medical information somewhere. They said No. Dr. Chopra got on the phone and I hoped he would help, I have never experienced a doctor with such a lack of compassion. The office manager was the worst. Went back to Urgent care, they helped me and gave me a referral for a gastroenterologist. Have an appointment in 2 days. more details
