He's not rational, but he is convinced that he is and will attempt to conv...ince you, too - whether through coercion (he'll turn around what you actually said, trying to convince you into saying what he wants you to say) or actually yelling (yep, a 'psychiatrist ' who actually yells at his patient) at you, blaming you and will say things like 'you do know who I am, right? I have been seeing Dr. Howell for about the past 8 months for therapy sessions. He has helped me a ton with my symptoms... of depression. He has a great deal of experience with therapy and based on the progress I have seen already, I am much more hopeful about my future. Dr. Howell completed a child custody evaluation for my ex and I a couple of months ago. Although it is a difficult thin...g to go through, I am overall very happy with the work that he did. I did not get everything that I wanted, but felt that the overall outcome was still fair and I understood his logic why once it was explained. That is one of the things that I liked best about him handling the evaluation. He spent a lot of time with me, explaining how everything would work in each meeting. He met with all of us and with the kids on multiple occasions. He explained how much experience he has had in the past with these types of court proceedings and I could tell that he really knew what he was talking about and what he was doing. I would highly recommend him to others who have to go through a custody evaluation. I think his office provides therapy as well, but I cannot rate him on that part. more details
