I was totally dissatisfied. I could not get to see the doctor at all after my surgery and for my follow up meeting 2 we...eks after the surgery; instead I was shunted to a nurse for my follow up meeting. I was informed that was their protocol. The procedure was not explained to me and the pacemaker workings and restrictions were not explained. I was just handed a little booklet in a plastic wrapper from the manufacturer of the pacemaker. I was not checked adequately after the surgery and when I arrived home from my one day surgery I still had 7 attachments for electrodes stuck to my chest. My discharge papers from the hospital after surgery were very sloppy and not really informative on what I should do, etc. more details
