There is not shared-decision making with dr.graupman. Gillette hospital is geared towards making money on surgeries. Doc...tors only want to do surgeries there. Whether the child has symptoms or not, does not matter. We were told that in rather cynical manner. This is not a place to go if your child is asymptomatic, but needs to be periodically evaluated for some neurological abnormality. You may be better off with a canadian or european educated neurosurgeon. Their system of professional values is based on the "Do No Harm", which seems to have been forgotten by financially driven american doctors and hospitals.more details

He is a thief with a knife. Probably the most evil thing in the world is to operate on children who do not need it. I do... not recommend this doctor for a child.more details

I have nothing good to say about dr.graupman. He cost me a lot of time and unnecessary expences getting second opinio...ns. Those opinions would not have been necessary if graupman was honest about my child's condition from the beginning. He wanted to do multiple surgeries on the child who did not have the problems that graupman insisted she had. That she did not have those problems and did not need all the dangerous surgeries that graupman wanted to do,was confirmed by 9 other pediatric neurosurgeons from top children's hospitals . Graupman eventually lied himself into the corner, where he had to admit that his diagnoses were wrong. According to my daughter, during that visit, graupman screamed at her mother and otherwise acted like he was "nuts". After the vsit, he lied again in his clinical notes, took his admission and apology back, together with the tests that he promised to order which the child was overdue for. He had the gall to accuse the mother in writing of not following his treatment plan, after admitting to her face that he had been wrong about the diagnosis. If I were a custodial parent, I would have reported this conman to the Medical Board of MN. He does not deserve a single star.more details

Awful, rude unprofessional doctor and stuff.Doctor did not seem competent, could not answer questions. Did not encourage... questions and did not care whether I understood his answers. I felt rushed through the visit. Seemed like the only thing the doctor cared about was to get my consent for surgeries.more details

I would not recommend this doctor for any child. Dishonest, incompetent, rude, vindictive, obviously involved in some ty...pe of substance abuse. Shaky right hand.Does not seem to like his job. I had fear for my child's safety in the hands of this doctor after the first visit. Our further experience with him proved me right.Although he did not get to hurt my child directly, after he knew there was no chance that I would allow him to operate on her, he retaliated by making it impossible for her to obtain the care that she needed elsewhere.more details
