Dr. Marco C Dotti, MD

Pretty much zero stars across the board. I can't believe this guy still has a job. Besides his pompous attitude, he wa...s very mentally removed from his job when I saw him in 2007. I got the brush-off which is pretty typical of that department.
My chiropractor who is a long-time member of the community told me how frusterated he is hearing how so many of his patients have gone to see Dr. Dotti and received the same treatment. Dr. Dotti only will tell you you are depressed (aka doesn't know what the Hell is wrong with you, but it's better for his ego than admitting he doesn't know what is wrong with you) or he will say that have sleep apnea. So good luck if you actually do have a depression diagnosis in your file already - very common in people who do have co-existing sleep disorders! Or consider that if these patients are actually depressed, as he diagnoses, it's probably because they're ill and not being taken seriously by those uneducated doctors who contribute to the average decade statistic it takes to get diagnosed with something like narcolepsy.

At one point my chiropractor called up Dr. Dotti's nurse and asked, "Does he ever diagnosis anyone with anything besides depression or sleep apnea?" It's pretty ridiculous when sleep disorders take so long to be correctly diagnosed in the medical system in general and then you have a hack like that doing people a further disservice. I unfortunately like many believed at the time doctors all knew their stuff. Years later after the problems continued I went out of the local area and received excellent care and technicians who could actually read my sleep study results! I feel horrible for other people who accept a junk diagnosis and spend years in misery because they trusted the wrong person. It is widely known by doctors in the same specialty hours away that the way Ministry's Sleep Department is run is awful and you are literally putting you life in their hands (sleep apnea alone should be handled very seriously). I certainly hope it has improved since I was there, but from what I continue to hear in the community and from medical professionals I haven't even mentioned, I doubt it.
